Writing Your First Book Part 1

Writing Your First Book
Taking The First Step To Writing Your First Book
So, you want to write that first book and you’re unsure of where, and how to begin. Does this sound familiar?
Putting your thoughts on paper and sharing it with the world can be a bit intimidating, but with much research and ensuring that all your “t’s” are crossed and your “I’s dotted, the fear will subside.
Below I will share some of the steps I took when writing my first book Bind Me With Ties No More, which also helped me to write my second book.
A Few Of My Writing Tips
In writing my first book, I wanted to ensure that it was a book that would help to inspire, encourage, motivate, and lift others up despite any unfortunate circumstances he/she may have gone through, or is currently going through; this is what I refer to as “identifying my target audience”, and from there I work on creating my content.
After identifying my target audience, I create my outline of the topics I want to discuss.
Once I have covered the above items, I then work on creating my content, in no particular order. I find that I am best when I create my contents in no particular order, though other writers/authors may see it differently.
After I have created my content, I usually take a break from writing and reading the content. Once I have been able to clear my thoughts of what I had written, I revisit the material and re-work any areas that I see fit before getting it to the editor.  Hope this helps! - Author Mahogany Law
